October in Singapore is all about slowing down and soaking in the city’s creative pulse. This month, design, heritage, and discovery take centre stage, while Mid-Autumn festivities continue to light up the city. It all begins with the National Museum’s Museum of U & Me pop-up, opening on 4 October. Then comes Future Impact 3: DESIGN NATION – Homecoming Showcase, a celebration of 60 years of design. For those drawn to purposeful creativity, Design Social @ Enabling Village highlights inclusive and community-driven design. Meanwhile, museums across the island open their doors for free-admission weekends on 11–12 October and again on 20 October for Deepavali. After September’s high-energy festivals, October feels more reflective. It’s a time to slow down, enjoy lingering lantern displays, explore thoughtful exhibitions, and see how art and design continue to shape life in Singapore.
