House no. 7

About

Image: Living & Dining

A home is an all-encompassing stage of a household’s narrative, where interests, pursuits and stories come to life in various forms of expression. We recently came across a stunning home by the name House no.7 where the story is beautifully captured by the interior designers of Purple Backyard. Its bespoke and unique design approach creates a one-of-a-kind canvas reflective of a husband-wife duo, showcasing a space that is better and beyond, HOME.

Layout

The heart of the 3-bhk abode accommodates the most expressive of the narration, constituting the communal spaces. From here, private spaces begin to unfold into 2 individual bed & bath suites, while the third bedroom converts into a study namely ‘the den’.

USP

Image: Living Space

The USP of the house reflects greatly in its calming yet tastefully contemporary appeal, with a subtle blend of mid-century modern into its language. ‘White’ is used as the protagonist, bringing all other design elements to the fore in terms of pattern, textures, form.

Living Space

The living space which is the pièce de résistance of the home is a stage where design is indeed celebrated. As an all-encompassing white space that is generous in volume, a tangible dimension is added to the surfaces creating a bit of depth and variety.

Images: Palette of textures

Seen across the chalky finish of wooden rafter ceilings dipped in white; immaculate portions of the untouched white plastered walls; cabinetry finished in white brick patterns; the biotic veining of natural white marble flooring.

Form builds upon the tangible, manifesting svelte white chandeliers dropping down festively; the classic appeal of the lacquered doors; a monolithic bar sweeping across the room in simple lines.

Together these elements showcase a potpourri in ‘white’ that unexpectedly unite with a unique chemistry

A slight deviation occurs into the off-whites reflected on furniture fabrics and drapery.

Accents

To this theatre are pops of accents that truly bring the canvas to life.

Whispers of dainty rose trickle onto the quartz anchor of the bar counter and dining ensemble.

Rustic timber finishes seen on furniture and indoor potted greens adds a natural touch to the decor.

The Bar

An element of drama unfolds as the white-coated bar shutters suddenly unveil a tropical-inspired interior that is the most vibrant in the space, instantly grabbing all the limelight.

Other spaces in the abode take some learning from the bar and manifest a tropical vibe within white drenched spaces.

Master Suite

Image: Master bedroom

Amplifying the design aesthetic of the canopied cabana-inspired bed of the master suite, the surrounding space enhances its vibe in timbers, tropical prints and tones in the olives.

Image: Master bath

The adjoining bath nurtures the same concept as seen on the refreshing foliage-covered walls and natural white marble veined with grey. A scintillating effect projected by the rose gold bath fittings indeed adds that spot of finesse to the space.

Guest Suite

The guest suite encapsulates a composition of many different aesthetic languages.

A retro vibe resonates through the four-poster beds and timber mirror frames, a mid-century modern style reflects on the cabinetry silhouette, a tropical hint instils with rattan matting seen on furniture and cabinetry. The candy speckled terrazzo flooring perfectly reflects the playfulness of the room’s composition.

The bath takes in a tropical cue showered with neutral florals on a lemon yellow wall.

The Den

Unlike the other bedrooms, the den shuns from the tropical aesthetic staying safe within all-white spaces, muted tones for the flooring and decor in the beiges. The adjoining bath reflects the very same character.

The Kitchen

Spicing things up a bit is the honeycomb backsplash in the kitchen that perfectly amps the space with immense energy.

In an ever-evolving white soaked environment layered delicately with patterns and textures, the most awe-inspiring element of the abode lies in the chemistry between different styles and compositions.

Within this delivery a unique design narration unfolds that is perfect and like no other
