Ever wondered what it’s like to step into a real rainforest, right here in Singapore? Well, Rainforest Wild Asia is making that dream a reality. Opening on 12 March 2025, this 13-hectare space is packed with lush greenery and incredible wildlife. You’ll find 36 species here, including rare newcomers like the François’ langur and the Philippine spotted deer. But that’s not all! The habitats are flexible, changing throughout the day. That means different animals take the spotlight at different times. It keeps them engaged and encourages natural behaviours. Plus, you get a front-row seat to all the action. Key Zones to Explore
The park offers a multi-layered Southeast Asian rainforest experience, with eight zones of open-concept habitats to explore. Here’s a glimpse of what each zone has in store!
1. Entrance Gorge
Step into The Entrance Gorge, where the journey into Rainforest Wild Asia truly begins. This space eases you from landscaped greenery into the heart of the rainforest, mimicking the edge of a real jungle. Towering emergent trees create a dramatic canopy, making you feel like you’re right at nature’s doorstep. And just ahead? A habitat pond, home to fascinating freshwater species. Stick around for a Ranger Talk to learn more about these creatures—it’s the perfect way to start your adventure before diving deeper into the park’s immersive zones.

2. The Karsts
On the edge of the Entrance Gorge, you’ll find The Karsts—an open-concept habitat that’s home to the lively François’ langurs. Watch these agile primates as they swing, leap, and move through their natural home. For the best view, head up to the Karst Lookout on the viewing platform, or take the Karst Loop Trek to explore the forest floor and the impressive karst formations. Want something a bit more exciting? Try the Wild Apex Adventure and scale the karst on a guided via ferrata path. As you explore, be sure to notice the details of this space, like the jagged limestone formations poking through the canopy, and follow the stream for a closer look at the environment. You’ll cross boulders, navigate logs to cross streams, and walk across a suspended bridge—all while trekking through the roots for that real adventure vibe.

3. Forest Floor
In The Forest Floor, you’ll get to experience the rich, nutrient-packed environment that keeps the rainforest thriving. As you make your way through, you’ll find yourself ducking beneath fallen trees or climbing over logs that block the path. Keep your eyes peeled as you descend—soon you’ll catch the first signs of life, like a sudden movement in the trees or a mousedeer grazing nearby. For a special treat, climb a preserved heritage staircase along the Forest Floor Trek as you head towards the Rock Cascade, or explore the Root Hollow Trek to get a close-up look at the rainforest’s roots. Adventurers can enjoy boulder steps, fallen trees to climb over, and a root tunnel to crawl through, making this a real hands-on experience.

4. The Outpost
The Outpost is your first rest stop on this rainforest adventure. It’s the perfect spot to take a breather. Grab a quick bite or a drink at Rangers Cafe before you continue exploring. If you’re feeling adventurous, The Outpost also has a camping ground with space for 20 dome tents. You’ll find all the essentials here, like a classroom for learning and shower areas to freshen up. It’s a great spot to recharge and connect with nature before heading further into the park.
5. Rock Cascade
After The Forest Floor, you’ll make your way to Rock Cascade, where the landscape transforms. You’ll pass through tall grasses, bamboo groves, and majestic trees. As the elevated walkway takes you higher, you’ll enter the Malayan tiger habitat. Here, these apex predators roam through tunnels, scale rocky formations, and navigate cascading waterfalls to reach their elevated spots. Cross a root bridge for a closer look and you might even catch the tiger perched on a rocky lookout. This zone also introduces you to two of the park’s flex habitats, where prey and predator species like red dholes and babirusas rotate in and out. Watch as these animals engage in dynamic behaviours, encouraging natural interactions. To fully experience it, you’ll cross bridges—bamboo, root, and log—as you explore the terrain.

6. The Canopy
In The Canopy, you’ll get a taste of life high up in the treetops. This zone is all about the rich, lush environment of the rainforest canopy. As you explore, you might spot primates like the Javan langur, red-shanked douc langur, and siamang. For a real thrill, walk across the Langur Walking Nets—you’ll feel like a langur yourself, suspended high above the ground and moving through the trees. It’s a unique way to see the rainforest from a whole new angle! Don’t forget to look down to catch sight of ground-dwelling wildlife like the Philippine spotted deer. For an even closer experience, opt for the Wild Apex Adventure, where you’ll cross an elevated bridge to the Langur Observation Deck on a guided harness tour. The Langur Walking Nets span 180sqm, offering incredible views and the sounds of playful primates in their natural habitat.

7. Watering Hole
The Watering Hole is the largest zone in Rainforest Wild Asia, highlighting the crucial role water plays in the ecosystem. As you enter, keep an eye out for the Malayan tapir roaming the forest floor or the Malayan sun bear foraging among the trees. This zone also houses the third flexible habitat along the route. As you explore, meandering elevated walkways will take you on a journey through the forest, leading you to a crocodile pond with suspended bridges to cross. For a more adventurous experience, tackle the Upper Stream Trek and Lower Stream Trek, where you’ll navigate boulders, fallen trees, and more suspended bridges as you make your way across streams and walkways. It’s a perfect mix of wildlife, adventure, and natural beauty all in one zone.

8. The Cavern
The finale of your rainforest journey is the Cavern, a 220m adventure inspired by the Mulu Caves in Sarawak, Malaysia. Known as one of Southeast Asia’s largest and most intricate cave systems, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage site. As you navigate through stunning rock formations, you can choose to follow the safe subterranean walkways or take side paths to discover cave species. For a more thrilling experience, the Wild Cavern Adventure offers the chance to abseil and explore the caves from new heights. Be sure to check out the special features like the oculus, which lets sunlight stream into the cavern, creating a magical moment and perfect photo op. This is a must-see for anyone seeking an awe-inspiring, hands-on exploration of the rainforest’s hidden depths.

With only a headlamp to light your way, you’ll navigate a 60m cave tunnel, filled with stunning stalactites, stalagmites, and fascinating fossil imprints. Get ready for an adrenaline-packed adventure! Start by climbing the via ferrata path at The Karsts, reaching heights of up to 20m. As you climb metal rungs, ladders, and cross suspended bridges, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve and Langur Island. Afterward, continue your journey with a hike to The Canopy, where you’ll walk along suspended planks 9m above the ground to reach the Langur Observation Deck. If you’re lucky, you might even spot the Javan and red-shanked douc langurs up close in their natural habitat. It’s an adventure full of thrills and nature’s beauty!

2. Sentinel Foodhall
Savour a variety of Southeast Asian flavours while you’re here. As you enjoy your meal, you’ll also get the chance to see some fascinating wildlife. Inside, exhibits house species like the Burmese python and blood python. Step outside to the aviary, where critically endangered species like the Bali myna and Vietnam pheasant can be spotted. Plus, don’t miss the daily Ranger Talk at 4pm for some extra wildlife insights!

3. Watering Hole Cafe
The Watering Hole Cafe is perfect for families, offering all-day dining in a laid-back, rustic setting with timber-themed interiors.
